First Responder First Responder - Is trained in advanced cardio pulmonary resuscitation; advanced first aidtraining; patient handling and lifting techniques; pain relief; use of spinal boards and body immobilisation techniques; and Automatic External Defibrillation. Types of events: Can look after small low risk events where risk of injury is minimal or as back up personnel at large events or competitions where more experienced senior medicalstaff are in attendance. Has the ability to conduct staff mentoring and supervision. They must have at least 2 years full time use of skills as an EMT Types of events: Small, medium to large crowds such as football matches, school carnivals, mountain biking, BMX, Motor X and local to international shows low to medium risk events
Paramedic - Is trained to Paramedical level of emergency care using protocols, procedures, pharmacologies. Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology. They must have at least 3years full time use of skills as an EMT Types of events: All types of crowds such as football matches, school carnivals, mountain biking, BMX, Motor X and local to international shows low, medium to high risk events. Is the advance clinical backing for the other lower qualified personnel. |
