This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills.
This course is in partial completion of HLT21107 Certificate II in medical emergency first response. This 2 hour course offers the most fundamental first aid training – the knowledge and skills required to manage a life-threatening emergency and deliver rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a person with no signs of life.
Also included is the use of a semi-automated external defibrillator, face shield and pocket mask
