This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is suitable for those students requiring workplace first aid skills.
This course is in partial completion of HLT21107 Certificate II in medical emergency first response
This course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations, providing care for the ill or injured until medical aid arrives. It is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid. 
This is a one day course. As a part of this course the student is to complete a workbook or on-line component. 
This First Aid qualification remains current for three years, during which time a refresher course must be completed.
